San Antonio Slough Cache

Got up very early to find this before work. Willow and I met up with Mr Bitey for the long hike on the railroad tracks to this very odd ghost town on the Marin sloughs. What a great location full of freaky old buildings. The whole thing was fun except there's this one house that seems like someone could possibly still live there. That was creepy.

After a quick bit of deliberation Mr Bitey decided to make the final couple of feet to retrieve the cache. As he said, it is in great shape and it is full of fun and weird stuff. Took some pics with the cache camera and Willow took a little bag of trippy little knitted people and we left a sparkly sand baby frog.

I would not suggest this trek on exceptionally hot days. The sun can really bear down on you in this area and if you take the southern route on the railroad tracks, it goes by the Marin garbage dump, which even at the early hour was getting pretty stinky.

Thanks for the great cache, we had a blast!

The long walk down 3 miles of railroad tracks into the swamp lands.

Best real estate deal in Marin?
I bet we could afford this place.

Willow seems repulsed!
Though the cache seems to be fitting in well with the swampy environment, the inside is perfectly dry!
