Innsmouth Bay is based loosely on H. P. Lovecraft's "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". After the hapless narrator's discovery of his dark personal secret, he wanders the world in search of who he used to be. That's the "Edge of Identity".

Innsmouth Bay

Coming home after a long time
Investigating the family line
See my past come to life
Stories told about our history

(chorus)
In Innsmouth Bay the secret stays
Of a time long ago when the Old Gods played
Gods of the ocean and sons of Man
Mixed together to form and alternate plan

It’s impossible to see
What’s happening to me?
I’m somehow related
To these gods of the sea

(chorus)

So now I’m changing, somehow reverting
Turned into something that’s human no more
So now I’m changing, somehow rearranging
Turned into something
That crawled from the ocean floor

Edge of Identity

Living on the edge, don’t know why
Watching all your friends as you wave goodbye
Living on the edge the city smell is sweet
Wind rustles garbage underneath your feet

All my life I wanted something
What it is I’m not really sure
One thing I do know
Is I can’t stay here

Living on the edge, my friends are lost to me
Will I ever know who I want to be
Living on the edge of induced insanity
Seems this kind of pain is so hard to see

What’s that you’re saying
I can’t hear you
Can I touch your face
Can I kiss you

This place is old, can’t find things to do
Maybe it’s time to find something new

Living on the edge, running away
Scared of something that might make you stay
Living on the edge of a lost identity
Will I ever know who I want to be
